MLB SHOWDOWN 2019 SET --St. Louis Cardinals

The unlikeliest of the playoff teams to make it to the NLCS if I had to rank the 5 teams that made the playoffs. The NL Central Champions went 91-71, and eliminated the Atlanta Braves in the first round of the playoffs. This unique team doesn't have the offensive fire power in terms of high on base that we've seen from the teams released already, but one  9 on base and six 8 on bases give them a deep hitting line up. The only foil of the team comes from the starting rotation and second half beast Jack Flaherty. This team can definitely compete but do the lack the fire power to beat the top teams?

Lineup: I went with the starting lineup that I would choose if I was managing the team. High speed first with Tommy Edman leading off for the Cardinals. Kolten Wong second with the only 9 on base on the team in the second spot.  Paul Goldschmidt and Marcel Ozuna come up next bringing two 8 on base and 17 plus home run power hitters. After that the lineup is more 8 OB players along with catching stud Yadier Molina and a top notch defensive short stop and a +4 center fielder in Harrison Bader.

Bench:

Rotation: The rotation is led by Jack Flaherty and his stellar foil card. His second half of 11 starts at a 0.76 ERA over 50 innings pitched was stellar, and is going to be relied upon for this Cardinals team to do some damage. Mikolas and Dakota Hudson provide backup with Adam Wainwringht as the 4th starter. In bad situations Michael Wacha can start a game off before handing it over to this wonderful bullpen that the Cardinals are bringing with them.

Bullpen: This bullpen has 5 options that can all be relied upon in many situations, and they are all different so any managers style can probably be played as. Gallegos brings a 6 control, out through 15, while Martinez and Brebbia have a 4 out through 16. Tyler Webb 5 out through 15 and John Gant 3 out through 17 are the final of all the great bullpen pitchers. In a pinch Andrew Miller is also use able with a 2 out through 17, but he gives up a home run off of his chart.

In conclusion the Cardinals come in at 5400 points, and with 22 players that gives them a 245 point average, a steep drop off from the Astros 300 points per play average and the Nationals 295 point average per player. How do you think this team would do in a playoff redo? I can see how the lineup and bullpen can help them win in the regular season versus weaker competition, but the top teams have more firepower which hurts this Cardinals team.
