2000 Super Bash Brothers - Foil Edition

We all know how much homers dominated the late 90’s post-strike. Guys were killing the ball left and right.

In this challenge, you want to allow the most home runs. Not to be confused with runs, you want to give up the most dingers as possible.

In this challenge the game will take place in the late summer, when humidity is even higher than usual resulting in the ball hanging longer. Due to this, every time that a batter gets their own chart, they receive a +2 bonus.

In a twist, location is taken into consideration when building your roster. If a majority of your pitching staff is made up from teams located in the south (extra humidity factor), then batters receive an additional bonus +2 (so +4 overall) on any advantage they get. The list includes: Atlanta, Miami/Florida, St. Louis, Arizona, Los Angeles, San Diego, Tampa, Kansas City, Houston, Colorado (because it's Colorado), and Texas.

To formulate your pitching staff, you must:

-Select cards from any set (00, 01, or the blog)

-Select a starting pitcher and catcher (no 10 on-base catchers is the only stipulation)

-Select 3 relievers

-Pitchers will not tire regardless of the runs allowed and are able to last the duration of their chart/innings pitched

-Your pitchers must be able to pitch 9 innings combined

-For the five players on your team, you must use 13 total control/on-base points

You read those right, every highest home run hitter that is a foil per position in the 2000 set.

The batting order is at your discretion (build it how you would build it if they were your team). Base running is your call going against a defense set at IF+7 and OF+4 with your catcher’s arm. For other rules, go with your personal house rules (base running, groundball advancing, infield errors, etc.).

To earn bragging rights, you must:

-Share your five-man roster

-How many home runs were allowed

-Total runs allowed

-Start smashing
