MLB SHOWDOWN 2018 SET -- Detroit Tigers

If your reading this I already feel sorry for you. If you read the last 2018 set at least you had the pretty good Pirates. But if you read the one before with the Orioles then you should be mentally prepared for another historically bad showdown team. This team was the second worst in terms of points behind the Orioles. The Tigers finished with 1990 total points.... Some of the better teams had 5 players that would beat out the tigers. They only have 2 player who breaks 300 so without them they would be so bad. And they have (in my opinion) the worst player in showdown for 2018 but you will have to listen to the podcast to hear me bitch about that card.

The tigers finished with a record of 64-98 but I'm not sure how they even won that many games with this team. They finished 3rd in the AL central... again no idea how. They are very very bad. They have an aging and injured Miggy as well as now a retired Victor. The future is not bright at this moment for the Tigers and hopefully they are doing a little Astroball to get themselves back into contention.

Me and Peter will break down the Tigers below.

Starting Lineup

Bench

Wow that was a train wreck. No support and only one batter above 6OB and that guy has -1 fielding. Tough to grab anyone from this team. I assume Castellanos will find a spot just being 8OB but man that's rough. As we move to the pitching staff they have again only 1 highlight coming in at the same point value as Castellanos. But frankly I wouldn't draft any of the starting pitchers.

Not a single SP above a 2C.... no thank you. The bulpen on the other hand has Alex Wilson who might be besides Castellanos the most draftable person on this team.

Ultimately I'm more impress on how the cards turned out visually then how good the cards are. As always follow me on Twitter @BobBumbarger. Let me know what you guys think of this team. Anyone I missed that you are drafting? Spread the word and also subscribe to the Podcast.
