2013 World Series Champion Boston Red Sox

The latest installment to the collection of great baseball teams and World Series Champions is the 2013 Boston Red Sox. The Sox finished the season at 97-65 just short of a 100 win season. They defeated the St. Louis Cardinals 4-2 in the Fall Classic.

Lineup: A line up with only one 9 on base doesn't sound very intimidating, although it is followed by four 8's and three 7's. David Ortiz anchors the offense in his designated hitters position and is surrounded with a good mix of speed and defense.

Starters: This starting staff could be one of the toughest ones to face. It can equalize some of the low On-Base numbers from the offense and buy some time to get the bats going. Lester, Lackey, Bucholtz is a fearsome 1-3 punch and a solid 4 Jake Peavy.

Bullpen: This bullpen can certainly get the job done if the starting staff is struggling or can hold a lead when the starters do their job. It isn't a 2014 Royals bullpen but they have some door slammers of their own.
