2018 MLB SHOWDOWN SET -- New York Yankees

Sorry for the delay. Family and Holidays... you know the usual. But you get to come back to another heavy AL playoff team in the New York Yankees. Winning 100 games this past season. They were a power house of a team. Very impressive rookies and some heavy hitters with the addition of Stanton this year. I wanted to get all the playoff teams done first so only team left for the AL is the As. But this team should keep you on you toes. With a whopping team total of 5,420 points you can instantly see why this team made the playoffs. As always tune into our podcast for out breakdown and to hear Peter go in depth behind the team.

We for the moment will not be on itunes and are going back to YouTube. So feel free to listen there.

Batting alone had 2,850 led by the Aarons.. Judge and Hicks.

The bench is where you start to lose a lot of points. But you can get a speedy Gardner or a super versatile player in walker.

Onto the pitching led by a dominant Severino who trailed off at the end of the year. They had some late year pick ups with Happ and Lynn and we couldn't not post CC who actually had a decent year and has been in showdown since the OG 01 days

I do like this bullpen as well. 3 guys can't give up doubles. Chad Green is very draftable as well as Robertson.

What are your guys thoughts on the HATED Yankees. Comment below and as always follow me on Twitter BobBumbarger

    1. Only had 161 PAs, not enough to get a card (math gets too wonky), but we may try an extrapolation for the Pennant Run edition

    2. Voit played a huge role down the stretch for this team offensively. I'm looking forward to seeing his PR card.

  2. Agreed that Voit deserves to be in this set way more than Bird. Also, as much as Francesca annoys me, he was right, this is one of the worst 90 win Yankees teams. The talent is definitely there, but the only reason we made it as far as we did is because of our rookies. Will be interesting to see what Cashman does this offseason.
