2018 Set Draft Results

The draft for the 2018 League has been completed and this will be the breakdown of the teams and draft. I will provide the analysis of the first round picks of each team, and some of the managers added in some comments on their pick as well.

1. Cobra Chickens

The Cobra Chickens took Jacob DeGrom with the first overall pick. What seems an easy decision as he is the highest point pitcher and overall player in the set. A top tier ace that you hope will take your team to victory every single time he is on the mound and give the bullpen a nice day of rest.
Managers take "DeGrom had an unbelievable year in 2018, and his presence on the mound all but guarantees a win. Hopefully The Cobra Chickens can give him the run support he deserves."

The most consistent showdown card over the past 4 years is Mike Trout and he did it again this past season. Not many weaknesses with him, hopefully his manager can put a team around him unlike the Angels.

3. Fiers Festival

The Fiers Festival took Mookie Betts, the American League MVP, capable of playing all the outfield positions but a stellar corner outfielder that can help prevent runners trying to score on tags and advancing extra bases.
Managers take "I took Mookie Betts since he was the best hitter available and the last 11 OB remaining. I expect him to hit almost 400 with lots of bombs and carry the Fiers Festivals to glory. Something the actual Fyre Festival failed to do."

Christian Yelich was the choice for the Rainiers as the NL MVP is a great candidate of a first round pick player. He should see plenty of bases throughout the league whether it is stealing, hitting and or jogging around them.
Managers take "Love the well roundness of Yelich.  Great speed, defense, on base and a solid chart as well.  Great cornerstone to bat #2/3 and build around."
