Day 2 is in the books and the National League has finished their first games. We saw some pitchers shine on this side, leading the way was Clayton Kershaw No-Hitting the 2016 Chicago Cubs. Matt Cain vs Cole Hamels had both starters ending with complete games and we also had Greg Maddux vs Randy Johnson with both starters going the distance in an absolute duel.
Player of the Day
The number 9 hitter with a 6 On-Base got the job done for the Marlins in their Victory.
Pitcher of the Day
No Hitter 16 Strikeouts Complete Game Win
Kershaw throws a No hitter against one of the toughest opponents in the tournament.
Current Standings
Now that the first games are all out of the way for all the teams my question for everyone is how should I post the outcomes. Do you like the individual day by day information, or would you rather have the whole first round summed up in one post? Let me know how you feel and I will adjust my postings.
My other question is how about that No-Hitter, that is only the second no hitter I have seen in showdown and doing it against the cubs sure was impressive. Anyone have any good showdown no hitter/perfect game stories?
I love the day to day outcomes!! It's fun watching it slowly develop and see the games broken down! Also, WOW KERSHAW!!!! STUD!
ReplyDeleteOkay cool, I wasn’t sure if it would be overkill but I can keep it tht way. I like doing the player and pitcher of the day. I couldn’t believe a no no against that cubs line up. That high control sure helps
