2011 Set - Milwaukee Brewers

With the NL West posted, it's time to move on to the NL Central, with a very fun team to start off.

The Brewers were the second-best NL team during the regular season, winning the NL Central as well. NL MVP Ryan Braun has a monster chart to go with 9 OB and A speed. Prince Fielder is one the few 10 OB batters in the set. But perhaps what makes the Brewers so dangerous is

the depth of their lineup, pitching, and defense, from solid supporting bats Njyer Morgan, Corey Hart, and Rickie Weeks, to defensive studs Jonathan Lucroy and Carlos Gomez, the third of four outfielders featuring CF+3 defense.

Closer John Axford is not only a stud, but his throwback jersey looks sick on his card – one of my favorite foil cutouts in the set. A youngish Zack Greinke heads a rotation with no stars, but several above-average starters.

Foils: John Axford, Ryan Braun, Prince Fielder

And the Pennant Run cards:

  1. Those pennant run pick-ups were so huge for this team... I know the 2018 team got to a game 7 against the Dodgers, but this truly felt like the best chance the Brewers had to win a World Series.
