MLB SHOWDOWN 2018 SET -- Toronto Blue Jays

Back again! and back to the disappointment that is the AL bottom of the barrel teams. Hopefully everyone was able to read the post prior to this and check out Peters minor league report. Has some fun data in there and really exciting for future players for teams in need.

But lets get to the matter at hand the Toronto Blue Jays. They had a disappointing season overall but didn't finish last thanks to the Orioles. The big thing with this team is how far they have fallen from the days of Bautista, Donaldson, and Encarncion. They are a shell of themselves finishing 73-89 with talks all season more about their minor leagues than the actual team. Well guess what that talk is still going to continue for them this season with Vlad Jr. not going to be on the opening day roster and coming up sometime later like trout did so they can get an extra year on his contract. I for one am more excited about the future with the former stars son's going to be playing. They have Vlad Jr., Biggio, and Bitchette all down in the minors making steam. The team they put on the field last year was just not that exciting and maybe only a handful of draftable players. We will break it down in the podcast below.

The Lineup.

Bench

Not much to draft there... probably Justin Smoak though now he was traded. I can see people grabbing Teoscar Hernandez maybe and maybe Randal Grichuk... They are all pretty awful but I'm sure some will find teams.

The pitching rotation I'm sorry to say isn't any better in fact it is much worse... I do not see a single player being drafted from the starting 4.

But at least there is 1 draftable player in the bullpen. The hot head they got from the Astros Ken Giles is the only 1 here worth drafting if at all.

As always follow me on Twitter @BobBumbarger. Let me know what you guys think of this team. Anyone I missed that you are drafting? Spread the word and also subscribe to the Podcast. Luckily the Future of the Blue Jays is better than the team that we see today. In fact Peter has a glimpse of what that future could be.

The Vlad Jr. being used in Season 2 of the massive, 30-team MLB Showdown League! Check out our minor league report here to learn why and how we gave Vlad *this* card.  Also, stay tuned after Spring Training to see if Vlad (and maybe Bo Bichette) made the Pennant Run set!
